Swan Princess: Rise of the Forbidden Arts chap11Chapter 10Swan Princess: Rise of the Forbidden Arts chap11 by Firelord515
The moment Rothbart removed his hood, Odette glared at him with intent to kill.
"Rothbart!" she shouted. She leaned over to Jacob, who was to her right, and grabbed his sword, pulling it from his scabbard. Odette took the sword and motion her horse forward into a full charge. Jacob was caught off guard by her actions and was too late to stop her. Odette raised the sword above her as she rode towards her target. Just as she was in range, she swung her blade down.
"Shit!" Rothbart shouted as he managed to dodge the attack, almost falling of his horse. Odette rode passed him before she brought her horse back around for another attack.
"Odette stop this!" Jacob called out to her but she ignored him. Odette raised her sword again as Rothbart straightened himself out and tried to turn his horse away. But he saw the blade coming at him as he dodged again, this time falling off the horse. Odette missed again and motioned her horse around again. The crowd behind them began to gasp in

Odette walked down the hallway slowly. She was growing anxious with every step she took. The infirmary was just around the corner a few doors down on the left side. The whole time she walked down the hallway she held onto her stomach. Part of her wanted to turn around and run the other way. But the other part of her wanted to tell her husband the truth. Of course everything would be great at first because she was sure he would be excited beyond belief. But once she told him about Sargon, she didn't know how he'll react. She also wanted to tell everyone else about it too. She knew first hand that keeping secrets would blow up in her face sooner or later. It happened with Derek when he tried to keep Rothbart's notes a secret. That was something she didn't wasn't to repeat.
She slowly made her way to the door of the infirmary. The door was open and she could hear the voices of everyone inside. She stopped by the doorframe but kept out of view of everyone and listened in. They we

The next day wasn't all too well for the kingdom. All the nobles had left in a hurry to get back to their own kingdoms. The only people that stayed behind were Jacob and Uberta, along with their guards Phillip and Joshua. They were all gathered in the dining hall waiting for Odette to come down for breakfast. After Sargon had left, she helped carry Derek and Bromley to the infirmary and stayed by his side for an hour. Her animal friends, well mostly Puffin, whizzer and Speed, offered to watch Derek for her, even though they were badly injured themselves. She kindly rejected at first but her friends insisted that she head straight to bed. She smiled at them and wished them all goodnight. But even thought she was in bed, she couldn't get to sleep. She was terrified about everything that was happening. She was going to have a baby, but her brother is going to try and take it away from her. She spent the whole night thinking of how to tell Derek if he should wake up soon, but mos

The room fell silent. The people in the room looked at the Dark Lord with great horror. The thought of stealing someone's soul was unthinkable and too horrible to imagine. The Goblins, on the other hand, looked at their master with wide, evil grins. Some even chuckled at the idea. Derek and Jacob stood frozen to where they were. Jacob looked at his former student full of hate. He knew that this creature was evil, but to take the soul of his sister was the worst possible thing anyone could imagine. Derek was full of fear. Not for himself but for his wife. He had been through so much with her and almost lost her twice. Now here stood a man wanting to take her away from him. Odette was the one in most horror. Her eyes were wide open and her mouth hung open just a bit. She couldn't believe her ears. He wanted to take her soul. She knew of what the Forbidden arts could do, but she never would have thought of this. Out of instinct, Odette raised her right hand to her chest but kept
